L;VE Initiatives
L;VE Coaltition is proud to lead and support a variety of evidence-based, community-informed initiatives throughout Henry County. Our prevention strategies target youth substance use and mental health through education, advocacy, and empowerment. Here are some of our core programs:
LIVE uses local youth data to challenge misconceptions about substance use. Through school posters, classroom presentations, and social media messaging, students learn that most of their peers are making healthy choices, correcting harmful misperceptions and reinforcing positive behavior.
Our signature annual event brings together partners from across Indiana for an evening focused on mental health awareness, education, and access to resources. The fair is free, family-friendly, and offers interactive booths, keynote speakers, and tools for srengthening emotional wellness.
A youth-driven education campaign focused on vaping prevention. This initiative helps students understand the risks of nicotine addiction and provides tips for avoiding peer pressure and marketing traps from vape companies.
An evidence based curriculum taught in schools to educate middle school students about the danges of vaping and nicotine use.

Aimed at youth athletes that promote healthy decision-making on and off the field. It highlights how susbstance use can negatively impact performance, scholarship opportunities, and life-term goals.
Distributed to parents and caregivers, this comprehensive resource provides actionalble guidence on preventing substance use among youth. Topics include how to talk to your child about drugs, warning signs of use, and where to get help.
This national awareness campaign discourages adults from providing alcohol to minors. LIVE promotes this message throughout the community via yard sign, posters, and school communications, reinformcing the legal and health consequences of underage drinking.
A hands-on, educational exhibit designed to help adults recognize subtle signs of substance use that may be hidden in a teen's environment. LIVE has created backpack kits for School resource Officers in each district, allowing them to bring this resource directly into schools to educate parents, teachers, and staff.
LIVE hosts topic-specific town halls focused on youth vaping, underage drinking, mental health, and more. These events bring together community leaders, parents, and youth to discuss trends, share stories, and create solutions.
Trained volunteers conduct observational scans at retailers across Henry County to assess how alcohol and tobacco products are marketed and accessed. Findings inform educattion, and outreach efforts reduce youth exposure and access.
In partnership with local law enforcement, LIVE supports this national initiative to safely dispose of unused or expired medications. Events are held twice a year to reduce the risk of prescription misuse and environmental contamination.
