Community Mapping

What Is Community Mapping?

Community mapping is a tool used to visually display the resources, services, and important locations within a specific area. It helps identify what’s available in your community—such as schools, parks, health services, food banks, support centers, and more—so you can better connect with what’s around you.

By putting all this information in one interactive map, community mapping makes it easier to see what’s nearby, what’s missing, and where help or collaboration may be needed. It’s especially useful for residents, nonprofits, local leaders, and anyone looking to support or strengthen the community.

How to Use This Map

  • Zoom in or out to explore different areas of Henry County and surrounding communities.

  • Click on any pin or icon to view details about that location, such as the name of the place, what services are offered, and how to get there.

  • Use the map layers (if available) to toggle different categories like health, education, youth services, or housing resources.

  • Use the full-screen option (top-right corner of the map) for a larger view or to get directions.

Community mapping empowers individuals and organizations to stay informed, find support, and work together to build a stronger, healthier community. This map is for you—explore it, use it, and let us know if there’s a resource you think should be added!
